Oooh! I know, long time no update again, right? Well, a lot has happened. I guess its best to start at the top and work my way through.

Things have been quite chaotic as I've been adjusting to post-graduate needs. Job hunting is quite simply abysmal. Nevertheless, when a door closes a new one opens - I've found a few promising opportunities that I may wish to pursue. However nothing is ever simple. Prerequisites to these interesting careers are almost always "3D Modeling with Maya" or "experience with Flash Actionscript 3.0". GAH! So I've taken a step backwards and returned to CSUCI for one more semester - and this time we're getting down and dirty with the stuff I'm simply PASSIONATE about!

Adobe Flash CS4 + Actionscript 3.0 - Okay, I'll be blunt, this course is pretty much for beginners. Ends up they only offer the advanced Actionscript 3.0 course during the FALL semester. So I'm making do with what I've got to work with. Not surprisingly, going over the fundamentals of Flash CS4 is a good refresher for me. I'll definitely be posting more of my works here on DeviantArt as the course progresses.

3D Animation and Modeling in Autodesk Maya 2009 - So far, I'm leaps and bounds ahead of my class, even though up until the day-of class my only experience with Maya was way back in Alias Maya 7, and that was short-lived (installation plus 5 minutes for it to tell me it hated me) due to my having an insufficient computer to run it back then, compacted with the exceptionally ABYSMAL customer support Alias provided - or should I say, failed to provide? Anyhow - 2009, although possessing of what feels quite haphazard for an interface, I'm taking to like a fish to water. Already I'm studying particle generation (which we won't even have time to cover in the span of the regular course this semester) and experimenting with all manner of custom polygon work far ahead of the bulk of my class (with the exception of one guy who has been repeating the class a few times to REALLY familiarize himself with the program - pity I don't have resources to waste like that).
